Support Literacy in Your Community
Make a Donation

Literacy Volunteers of Wayne County relies upon contributions of various kinds to support Literacy Instruction. These donations make it possible to reach more people and provide better service.
Not only that, but for every dollar spent for a Literacy Volunteer program, at least eleven dollars in direct cost benefits are returned to the communities where students live. Your gift of literacy will make a difference.
As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, all donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowable by law.
Here are some ways to give:
- Make a credit card donation on-line
- Send a check or money order to the LV Wayne Office
- Pledge through the United Way
- Ask your employer to make a Matching Gift
- Donate personal property such as supplies, equipment, or books
- Attend or sponsor a Fundraising Event
- Make a bequest or planned gift
You can also help us financially by volunteering to advocate for additional public funding for literacy programs.
Please consult with your financial and legal advisers on the best option(s) for your situation.

Technical books, college texts, and encyclopedias are beyond our scope. Reading, writing, and grammar texts are always welcome. See list of books needed.
