Through this section you can learn about on-going Tutor Development activities, find out about materials and Internet resources, or download tutor forms.
On-going Tutor Development
While Tutor Training will give you the skills to get started, one workshop can never be enough to prepare a Tutor for every situation. That is why we provide on-going opportunities to meet with other tutors and attend follow-up training on relevant topics. In addition, our professional staff is just a phone call away to help Tutors and Students address specific issues they may face.
Here are just a few of the opportunities available for tutors:
- New! Self-study Tutor Training - Take a refresher course at home!
- Tutor Chats - Informal get-togethers with other tutors. Check the calendar for the next chat!
- Outside training conferences – Training of Trainers, Teacher Days, and more. Contact us for information
- Verizon Thinkfinity On-line Courses. Free!
- Videos on Learning Disabilities, Laubach Way to Reading, and more!
Contact Us to learn more or to sign up for a training.

Materials and On-line Resources
Our office library is full of materials that tutors and students can use like workbooks, software, and games. Your local library is also a valuable resource. There are also many websites that have a wealth of information and teaching ideas for tutors.
